Hi everyone.
Had a really good start to today. I've just come back from doing some press with the St. Helens Reporter, one of our local newspapers. A young girl, Lauren Hale who's 6 years old, did a sponsored run up and down the town hall steps in aid of the HoneyRose Foundation. Lauren raised £52 for us, so we'd like to thank Lauren and her Mum and Dad and say a huge well done. We're so proud of her and it's so heartwarming knowing that even someone as young as Lauren is willing to do something to help the charity.
I also went to Manchester to Beaverbrooks Jewellers this week and was awarded with a very generous cheque for £660 from them. So again, I'd like to thank them.
We're always in need of funds and people willing to help us with fundraising, knowing that there are people out there who are trying to help is such a boost for all of us here at the charity as we tend to get easily forgotten about with the bigger, more well known charities about. Please, if you believe in our cause and would like to offer support in any way, feel free to contact us on 01744 451919 or e-mail info@honeyrosefoundation.co.uk. You can also write to or pop down to our office on 18 Hall Street, St. Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1DL.
We still have a few tickets left for our Christmas Party Night Fundraiser on Saturday 10th December at the Devonshire House Hotel on Edge Lane in Liverpool. For £35 you'll get a delicious three course meal, a disco, and live entertainment provided by singers Shaun Walsh and Lilli Moore and a comedian.
On a final note, it has come to my attention that in sending out letters to invite people to our Celebration Service at the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral on Friday 2nd December, that a large amount of the invitations have gone out to our applicants as opposed to their named responsible companion. This is down to a clerical error and myself and the administrative team would like to offer our most sincere apologies for any upset or offence caused to families. These letters were merely intended to let our applicant's families and friends know about the service so that they could come along if they so wished.
If you would like to be a part of this service to celebrate the HoneyRose Foundation and commemorate the people we have helped so far please do come along. For further details, please ring 01744 451919.
