Hi everyone!

As most of you will know, I did my Parachute Jump on Saturday 23rd July to try and raise some urgently needed funds for the HoneyRose Foundation.

After about 3 months of preparing myself and wondering if I'm crazy to do this, I did it! And it was so worth it.

I wasn't alone, my friend Wendy Williams was joining me and doing her own jump too. Wendy's someone we managed to arange a Special Wish for a couple of years back, so it was brilliant to share this experience with her.

I was so nervous at first when I was being strapped in to all the equipment, and even more nervous as the plane climbed higher and higher! As we got further above the clouds, I was half wondering what on earth I was doing leaping out of a plane. I didn't have an awful lot of time to ponder though, as all too soon it was time to take the plunge, quite literally!

Even though I knew the guy behind me was trained and does this all the time, it was still quite nerve-wracking!

Suddenly we were no longer on the plane, and were just free falling in the air, all those nerves just vanished! It was such an adrenalin rush just free falling and hearing the air rush past my ears.

When the parachute came up, everything seemed so silent. I can't believe how peaceful it was up there, and as we were floating down back to the ground I even managed to take in a bit of the view. (Little did we know while all this was going on, our poor cameraman's parachute had trouble opening so he had to use his emergency one!)

I landed with a bit of a bump, but honestly, it was one of the most amazing things I've done, and such a thrilling experience. I really did want to just go straight back up and do it all again!

I'd like to thank everyone who sponsored me and offered support and well wishes, and to all my friends and family who came with me on the day to watch me jump.

Who knows, next year I may do a bungee jump!

Lynn.
