Hello everyone,
Apologies for it taking so long to update our blog, but we've had a few technical issues, hopefully that's sorted now!
There's been alot going on here at the HoneyRose Foundation, but before I tell you about that, I have some sad news.
Our previous office manager, Andy Brogan, sadly passed away on Friday April 8th, aged 45. He did alot for the HoneyRose Foundation, and was working with us when the Secret Millionaire came. His funeral takes place on Wednesday April 20th at St. Helens Crematorium.
Our condolences and thoughts are with Andy's family and friends.
Back in March, the St. Helens 10k Run took place, we want to say a massive thank you to those who ran on behalf of the HoneyRose Foundation, and thank you to all our volunteers who helped out on the day. A fun day was had by all, and was amazing to see so many people coming out to run for the various causes.
We also had our first coffee morning at Mash Cafe, Haydock Street, St. Helens on March 31st, we think it went rather well! And we've just confirmed with the owner, Kevin, that we will be collaborating with Mash for a regular coffee morning on the last Thursday of each month. Our next one is taking place on April 28th, and will have a Royal Wedding theme. It starts at 10am, and we think it's going to be quite fun!
On Saturday April 23rd, our Easter event will be taking place at Rumble Rumble on Central Street, St. Helens. This starts at 11am, and there will be all kinds of Easter activities for you and your little ones.
We've managed to organise some fabulous wishes for people, including one lady being treated to a VIP trip to the Emmerdale set and enjoying a meal with a couple of the cast members. She had a wonderful day, and thank you to those who made it happen.
And on Sunday July 17th, our Family Fun Day will be taking place, we'll have the usual stalls, raffles and other entertainment and it'll be a lovely day out for you and your family, so hope to see you all there!
And finally, tickets are already available to our Christmas Party Night on December 10th at the Devonshire House Hotel in Liverpool. Now, we know, it's not even been Easter yet, but people have already purchased their tickets, so we anticipate this being a sell out event. Tickets are £35 each, but there is a discount for booking in groups. This would be an excellent place to host things like your work's Christmas event, and the price includes a three course meal, a disco, an as yet to be confirmed comedian and entertainment from The Kings Of Rhythm. If you're interested in tickets, please ring us on 01744 451919. Don't forget, if you come along, you're helping to raise funds for the HoneyRose Foundation to enable us to keep on doing the work we do and to keep on Creating Special Wishes.
Thank you very much for reading, and once again, thank you for all your support.
